Support During Ongoing Housing and Medical Crisis
Update – July 6, 2026, 9:09 p.m.
When I created this fundraiser, I was trying to avoid losing my home while navigating an active BC Supreme Court judicial review.
Since then, that situation has changed. I ultimately lost my housing and am now living in an emergency shelter while rebuilding stable housing. My judicial review remains active and is still awaiting scheduling, but my day-to-day focus has shifted from emergency court applications to rebuilding my life while continuing the work that grew out of this experience.
What began as documenting a housing crisis has become Personal Dispatches—an ongoing journalism, photography, and documentary project chronicling homelessness, disability, accessibility, housing, and life in Kelowna from lived experience.
I’ve updated this fundraiser to reflect that new direction. Contributions now help support both my transition back into stable housing and the continued production of Personal Dispatches through housing costs, transportation, communications, website hosting, reporting equipment, and the technology I rely on every day.
Thank you to everyone who has read, shared, encouraged, and supported this work. Your support has helped me continue documenting this journey, and I look forward to sharing the next chapter.
Support During Ongoing Housing and Medical Crisis
Over the past several weeks my situation in Kelowna has escalated into displacement, hospitalization, wheelchair safety issues, ongoing court proceedings, and possible homelessness.
I am currently displaced and temporarily staying in a motel while attempting to stabilize shelter, mobility, transportation, storage, medical recovery, and ongoing legal matters simultaneously.
If you would like to help support temporary shelter, food, transportation, wheelchair mobility, storage, and ongoing stabilization costs during this crisis, support can be provided here:
Support Randy Millis on GoFundMe
I have also been documenting the experience publicly through a series of personal dispatches and open letters from Kelowna:

Thank you to everyone who has shared, supported, or reached out.
